Owning real estate as an investment offers many benefits. A primary benefit is cash flow. Real estate can pay regular cash payments to the owner. This cash flow is paid from the rents that are collected. Of course the property must be profitable, meaning that the rents received in any period (monthly or annually) must be greater than all of the expenses required to run the property properly.
