Woodside Sunnyside Composting

A warm thank you to all the volunteer that made the harvest, rebuilding the pantry garden, collecting foodscraps, smashing pumpkins and collecting non perishable this week end!

Yesterday the parks department destroyed effort to beautify a plot of unused city owned land. Untill a local group started thier efforts, the land was accumulating debris and trash. The land was cleaned up, raised garden beds where installed, and planted with hardy greens. There hardy greens where destined to be harvested and distributed through food pantries, to help our neighbors in need to acess healty food. yesterday the parks department yanked out food out of our neigbors's mouth.
