Ok, back to some Adirondack Landscapes. These are from the Blue Ridge Falls in North Hudson NY off the Blue Ridge Road. The falls are a popular place for swi...mmers but can be dangerous in a few places so be respectful to the power of water if you decide to visit and swim. Also, I did have at least TWO leeches I had to pry off my legs, so be on the lookout once you get out, do not use salt, heat, cigs, etc. Please use a pry off method with either your fingernail, knife or something flat, and do not tug or squeeze the leech off, it could vomit its stomach contents back into the bite area. Most important, do not panic. Once the leech is off, the bite area will bleed for quite sometime but will stop once the anticoagulants have dissipated. Price to pay for cooling off on a warm day but the water is clean and clear, so it was worth it! Nine photographs to view and comment...enjoy!
