VIRTUAL CLASSES FOR THIS WEEK: We have free and $7 classes...join at the link below Tuesday April 7: 6 pm Yoga for Inner Peace with Michelle FREE... Focus: Staying in the moment, presence is a gift. Use the breath to come into your body let go of the busy mind and enjoy presence. Stretch, relax and let go. Wednesday April 8: 10 am Mindfulness Meditation with Don $7 Topic: Mindfulness is the journey from fight and flight to rest and relaxation. The journey from the head to the heart. Wednesday April8: 6:30 pm Hatha Flow with Kathe $7 Powerful Hatha flow with be a mountain meditation. Thursday April 9: 7 pm Gentle Yoga and Deep Release with Vanessa FREE Focus: Moving through water, mobility through your body. Feel good gentle poses with myofascial stretches to release tightness, tension and create more inner space. Breathe deep, relax, release. Friday April 10: 10 am Sacred Poetry and Meditation with Roy FREE We will explore sacred poems from different traditions. Using poetry as inspiration, we will move into a period of silent sitting. Friday April 10: 7 pm Cleansing Pranayama (breathwork) and Yoga Nidra $7 A guided meditation which brings the mind into a deeply relaxed state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. Saturday April 11: 9:30 am Flow Yoga and Movement with Vanessa $7 Focus: Our legs as our powerful solid ground. A moderate level class using the breath to move your energy, clear stagnation and be more present inside your body and yourself. Multiple options for different levels. Conscious movement with proper physical alignment. Sunday April 11: Mindfulness Meditation with Don $7 Mindfulness is the journey from fight and flight to rest and relaxation. Dear Students, Namaste. Currently, all in-person classes are canceled. We want to offer you ways to navigate this new place and space we are all in through online classes that are easily accessible to you at home. ... We will be offering live classes for free and paid, to use with your existing class packages or to pay for individually. Also, we will have some pre-recorded classes available online soon! This can feel like a time of chaos. As many are forced to slow down and stay home, it gives us the opportunity to do more yoga, meditation and inner contemplation. All these tools help us to navigate the emotions and feelings that come with our current reality and find deeper center and groundedness. PAINTING AS MEDITATION WORKSHOP WITH ROY & TARA SUNDAY, MARCH 29TH FROM 2 4 PM $25... COME AND ENJOY THIS RELAXED AFTERNOON OF CREATIVE EXPRESSION From the prehistoric cave renderings found at Lascaux, France to the paintings and drawings of a child, our urge to create can be expressed by picking up a brush with paint and letting it move across paper. We will begin this afternoon workshop with a brief period of meditation. Coming from that inner place we will let the realm of paint be our means of self expression. What a joy to take a c...lass in their beautiful new home with Roy, an old friend from my early days at YAA. I highly recommend his class, which is a beautiful medley of stretching, breathwork, asana & meditation. In our class, each Saturday this month, along with our yoga postures and meditation practice, we will explore some of the myths surrounding meditation practice: Does the mind become peaceful?
