It's my honor to send you Father's Day greetings. I can only imagine what this year has been like for you with all the heaviness, extreme changes, dreams deferred, and loss. Despite it all, you are taking it day by day, including being a father. I hope that you spend the day, not only in reflection, of what occurred, but seeing that you are making it through, you get to enjoy the things that matter most, such as love, laughter, light, and embrace all the joys of being a da...d. Happy Father's Day. I wish you all the best.

Today is a very special day in the history of the United States, while the country gained independence from Britain July 4, 1776, it is not until June 19, 1865 enslaved Africans were finally free. While true freedom is a work in progress, we celebrate. In honor of the sacrifice made by the toil to build this country, please support a local black owned businesses, organization or charity; The United Negro College Fund, The National Museum of African American History and Culture. "True leaders hold themselves and their people accountable. They hold themselves to a high standard so they can hold their people to a high standard as well." Amy Reese Anderson It requires courage and humility to do so, along with the strength and power to make the necessary changes for betterment, and consistency to see it through. When you show courage and humility, it gives others who depend on you for direction, encouragement, and self-permission to do so, as well. ... The law enforcement leader seen kneeling with these peaceful protestors is not responsible for the death of George Floyd, but his administration, along with others have a long-standing history of brutality, murder, and of people in the communities they serve. This brought on fear and mistrust of people dependent on them for protection and law enforcement. They are not responsible alone, we ourselves as a collective have contributed to the issues in our community, but they are paid to protect and serve, and they are in place to enforce the laws designed to bring order and justice. While some may say the kneeling by this law enforcement leader serves an agenda, he did not have to do it. He could have displayed what other leaders did or allow to happen during the demonstrations. I see it as a message of hope, understanding, showing courage, humility, and accountability. It now falls on him, within his power to take the next steps necessary to create the direction to make real change. https://nypost.com//nypd-cops-take-a-knee-beside-proteste/ https://www.cnn.com//nypd-officers-kneel-with-p/index.html
