While researching the history of Main Street Penn Yan where it intersects with North Ave (formerly known as Head Street), I came across this structure built in 1843. Once known as the Head Street School and then the Free Methodist Church, it sat at corner of North Avenue and Linden Street (formerly known as Jackson Street). The Head Street School, was closed after the Liberty Street school, was built. The building was said to have been moved from its 1889 location seen in image, to a spot closer to the road. The front entry way and bell tower were added to the school to create the Church structure. Who remembers this building?

Here's two images from 1908 showing the Northern Central RR Store & Post Office Starkey on the left. On right is the driveway of the Starkey Station. The writer of the second postcard image tells Stella of Sodus Point, "look for us Tuesday".
