Please feel free to share: New program starting on January 12 for youth ages 9-19! Wild and Crazy Careers! Do you know what you want to be when you grow up? Do... you want an "out-there" career? Hear from people who followed their passions to find a job they love--from wildland firefighters to wildlife documentary creators, from zookeepers to mountaineers, and everywhere in between. Get ready to ask yourself, "you can get paid for THAT?" Career professionals include Sea Kayak guide, Youth Conservation Corps trail builder, small business owners (eco tourism and farming), zookeepers, wildlife videographers, police dog trainer, mountaineers, and wildland firefighters. Youth will learn skills in setting SMART goals, interviewing techniques, resume tips, and more. Please contact Liz Wiener, [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]), with questions. How many of our 4-H members have rooms that look like this?!? 4-H is far more than the ribbons, trophies, and medals (although they are nice to have and display), it is undeniably the life skills that you learn in 4-H that you will carry with you for the rest of your life! Yates County 4-H families are invited to join our 4-H teens in a virtual Holiday Card Workshop this Sunday, December 13th from 7-8 pm. Registration is due December 10th.
