Amazing results with a CP client!! Posted @withregram @functionalpatterns Amazing work by Rudi and his FP Human Biomechanics Specialist @fp.davidbartalos! Making gains! . . @functionalpatterns only! 3 months movement and jumping gains from my client Rudi with cerebral palsy. Rudi is one of the most hardworking client that I’ve ever worked with. Here are some of his words: At first I was a bit skeptical, however I could feel some improvement already after the first FP ses...sion. Since I started to practice FP, my posture, gait and the overall condition of my body has improved significantly. I have also gained more self-confidence and now I am finally beginning to trust in my body and its capabilities, as some people who have any type of CP, I tended to feel inferior. I have gained trust and now I’m determined to give my best at every session. 1st video - unable to perform jumping on elevated platform without support 2nd video - able to perform jumping with landing on unstable platform without any support Thanks to @naudiaguilar @functionalpatterns for training system that change lives #functionalpatterns #slovakia #bratislava #makehumansfunctionalagain #biomechanicsculture #leveragingplanes See more

@functionalpatterns CEO of FP Left: about 3 months ago. After a corrective technique. Right: just under 3 years ago. Also after a corrective technique (just noticed) As you guys can see, my body fluctuates. I'm not saying that I'll ever go back to where I was on the right, but the decisions I have made in my career have lead mentors get changes like these at will. What got ball rolling? Me making a decision about 9 years ago to barely train at all.... . . Since I started as a trainer 15 years ago, I've for the most part known I was spiraled in one direction. Although I didn't feel pain, every time I put my body through a demanding situation (sparring, grappling, basketball, climbing stuff, etc.), I always noticed residual points if stiffness on my structure. It indicated to me that I wasn't getting out of one spiral and that I needed to establish another. The more precise I got about calculating biomechanics, the more I realized that I needed to sit around and think about what I'm doing way more. . . I spend quite literally most of my day calculating phenomena. Doesn't matter what it is, my brain is calculating. The more precise my calculations are, and the better I execute on that precision, the faster I can turn around my mechanics and change my physique. I forsee the fluctuations of degeneration being less and less moving forward because I can account for variable much better now than ever. Obviously I spend most my days doing this with the things I don't see, but without those rough patches, you don't get to progress. . . Point is that you don't beat yourself up if you need time to collect yourself. It's ok to do nothing in training, and allow your body to go places you know it shouldn't go, so long as you're still trying to map out the problems. . . I still have way more things undeveloped in my body than I have developed. That said, things are always progressing. If you are or have been skeptical of my progress, I'm right there with you. I feel it's safe to say that I'm my own harshest critic but also my biggest fan lol. . . Anyway, keep getting after it. Life has bumps in the road. Experience will be your suspension kit. See more

This post from a couple of years ago, that @fpkathy_alvarez recently reposted, still articulates my attitude better than anything out there since I really started getting to the roots of my problems. If you are actually serious about fixing your anxiety, depression, addictions, alcoholism, etc., it’s only a matter of time before you’ll have no choice but to investigate your biomechanics with a healthy dose of objectivity and humility. There’s no better system than @function...alpatterns. Find yourself a practitioner ASAP. From @naudiaguilar: Read all the books you want about self help. I tried all that shit. All it did was turn me into a robot that operated within the confines of the indoctrinations the authors themselves couldn't overcome. It's important to note that the majority of authors on the topic of self help have yet to help themselves outside the context of selling lots of books. . . I grab my anxiety by its little nuts everytime it tries to do its thing to me now. Is it eradicated? Nope, but at some point it's going to be. How do I do this? Solely by focusing on mechanisms. I test them every day to see what I need to do. I run a multinational corporation sober. Stress through the rooftops and I beat my anxiety like it owes me money. . Lastly, literally every gait cycle I witness has a personality to it. Every case of depression has a whole lot of microexpressions attached to it. Those that stand up straight with their shoulders back are operating in a conflict that will make the depression worse. Why? Because it doesn't go anywhere near far enough to account for the complexities in a biomechanically deficient body. . . Mental health for the thinker is found in the understandings of mechanisms. It's inescapable. The more you fight this fact of life, the worse the depression and anxiety become. Fix ur gait, fix ur redox, fix ur mood. #functionalpatterns

Posted @withregram @fp.piestany 8 months relaxed posture progress from my client Ema (15 years old) with cerebral palsy. Left photo: October 2019. Right photo: July 2020. Both pictures are relaxed and uncued postures. Gait cycle videos are coming soon! Ema’s testimonial: @functionalpatterns really helps me with my health condition and also with my movement patterns. I would never say that before how can I change my body. It is great improvement for me. My hands aren’t shak...ing so much like they used to and my back is straighter. I’ve got better control over my body especially my hands. We’ve tried a lot of different training methods but non of them has helped me like FP does. Thank you so much. . . 8 mesaný progres v uvonenom postavení s mojou klientkou Emou (15 rokov), ktorá má detskú mozgovú obrnu. Fotka vavo: Október 2019. Fotka vpravo: Júl 2020. Mesiace apríl a máj sme kôli Covid 19 netrénovali. Vemi ti akujem. . . @emikemka som na teba extrémne hrdý a verím, že náš progres bude ešte väší. Video chôdze a behu pridáme oskoro. . @functionalpatterns @naudiaguilar #functionalpatterns #makehumansfunctionalagain #fppiestany #biomechanics #leveragemotions #freakishlyhealthy #piestany #slovakia See more

#Repost @functionalpatterns Some from CERTIFIED HBS @fp.jamesruport helping his client get back to functionality. This is what happens when you respect the physics and biology of the human body #relevanthumanoptimization Great work James! . .... "Update on drew. In the video the consult was February 7 he could could only walk a minute before his heel started tingling and his hip started aching. Middle video is March 20 after 4 sessions, last video Is may 6 after 10 sessions. Posture Photos are comparing consult to 10th session. . Drew’s story is a familiar one. April 2019 had a lumbar strain piriformis syndrome and was getting foot cramps. . He tried to find a cure- he saw a PT, a chiro, a Rolfing specialist, an acupuncturist, an NKT specialist, looked into feldenkrais. He was discharged from chiro and did not feel right about. . He tried yoga for a month. That didn’t feel good. . In September he started to develop numbness as his disk started to herniate. . Was given 2 rounds of prednisone, muscle relaxers, naproxen, tramodol, estim, chiro, a second round of PT which made his symptoms worse. . He then received an injection and was referred to surgery. . I’m glad we intercepted him when we did. . He was able to return to work, do full effort sprints up to 13.5 mph, swing the 12 kilo KB without worry, and now has an understanding of a few deep seeded dysfunctions that probably set off his problem in the first place. . What a hard working, honest individual who was willing to make the changes necessary to get back to his life." . . #fpisthestandard #functionalpatterns #makehumanfunctionalagain #relevanthumanoptimization See more
