Hi Everyone, The Officers of Precinct Council met with the Captain and Lieutenant and discussed the following: The Captain stated that crime is down over the last couple of months, however the overall number is up for the year mainly due to the bail reform changes in January.... There have been several issues with speeding and several ticketing events over the last couple of weeks. There have been no protests or looting in the precinct, but there has been protesting in the city. There have been no incidents in connection to the protests and no arrests have been made during them or surrounding the events. July 4th is coming and they expect to have direct patrols in the usual areas to curtail any fireworks that may occur. As of now the city is not expected to participate in National Night Out. The National organization has moved the date to October, but because of the financial and actual climate in the area during that time period we feel that it would not be appropriate at this time. We are waiting on word from Police HQ. As always, if you have any concerns please feel free to email us. We will let you all know about meetings in the fall. Have a wonderful summer. First Precinct Community Council Officers
Next week the officers of the FPCC will be having a teleconference with the Captain and Lieutenant. If you have any concerns that you would like us to raise with them, please send them to our email address [email protected] by Monday afternoon. We hope you are all staying well during this time and hope to see you all soon.
Congratulations to the officers of the First Precinct
Thank you to everyone for making this National Night Out the best so far
National Night Out is only a few hours away. Come out and meet the officers who protect your neighborhood tonight at Andrus Field, just south of the Will Library @ 5:30pm
Tomorrow is national night out. We will be at Andrus Field on Central Avenue from 5:30 to 8:30. See you all there.
With Mayor Mike Spano's State of Emergency, please do not travel around the city today. Please give the crews the chance to clean the roads. Stay safe in your homes with your families.
Thank you to everyone who donated to our toy and clothing drive to My Sister's Place
Tonight we will be having our first meeting to organize National Night Out. If you are interested in helping with the planning please join us at the 1st Precinct, located at 730 East Grassy Sprain Road, at 6:15 PM. We hope you can join us to help make this a wonderful event.
