Yorkville, NY Police Department 12.11.2020

On Friday August 21st, 2020, at 10:50 PM, The Yorkville Police Department was dispatched to the area of Elmwood Ave in the Village of Yorkville for a burglary in progress. It was reported to Police that the homeowners encounter a person inside their residence attempting to steal valuables. The juvenile suspect then fled out the back door and fled the scene on bicycle. Once police arrived on scene, they spoke to the homeowners and was able to obtain a description of the sus...pect. Yorkville Police located a suspect matching the description on Whitesboro Street heading towards the City of Utica. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody. Juvenile Male (16) of Utica was arrested and Charged with the following: PL 140.25 Burglary 2nd PL 205.30 Resisting Arrest PL 240.25 Harassment 2nd PL 195.05 Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd The Juvenile was issued appearance tickets to appear back at Oneida County Family Court at a later date and time. The Yorkville Police Department is looking for the public’s assistance in attempting to locate the vehicle pictured. On July 9th, 2020 at approximately 6:14pm the Yorkville Police responded to a report of an MVA - VS. Bicycle, the pictured truck struck a 9 year old male crossing Oriskany Blvd. and fled the scene without stopping. The Yorkville Police is looking for any witnesses of the incident, or anyone who knows the whereabouts of the truck to please contact the Yorkville Police at (315)-736-8331. Please be advised, if anyone is being asked to repair this vehicle, you could face criminal tampering charges, and we urge you to contact the Yorkville Police Department. We would like to ask the public’s help to join us to getting justice due to the young man suffering a head injury from the accident.

The Yorkville Police would like to remind residents to lock their vehicle doors and remove items of value from parked vehicles. Several larcenies in the Village of Yorkville have occurred recently, in which the vehicles targeted have been vehicles with vehicle doors left unlocked. Please keep your vehicle doors lock, and if you see anything suspicious please do not hesitate and call the Yorkville Police at 315-736-8331

The Yorkville Police Department is investigating several vehicle larcenies that occurred at 2:45 AM 3:15 AM on Saturday May 16th, 2020 around Caroline Street and Tabor Place in the Village of Yorkville. The police are asking any residences which might have camera footage to please contact the Yorkville Police at 315-736-8331. Happened at 167 Whitesboro street in Yorkville on Sunday night at 2336 hour...s. 6 foot dark hair with beard stubble or goatee, grey sweat shirt with lime green letters on side sleeves,blue jeans and tan work boots. Corona Virus Update: To Limit the spread of the Coronavirus and to promote public health, The Village of Yorkville has closed the Village Park, Basketball Courts, Baseball Field, and playground equipment and can not be used by the public until further notice. We know that social distancing might not sound fun- but we all need one another to stay home and limit our public activites right now to only those that are essential like attending work or grocery shoping- no matter ho...w young or healthy we are or how healthy we feel. Avoid non- essential gatherings of individuals of any size for any reason (e.g parties, celebreations or other social events) should be cancelled or postponed at this time. Proper social distancing is crucial to try to stop the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Please maintain at least six feet distance from other people when you do have to go out, please follow best hygiene practices like washing your hands for 20 + seconds with soap and water, covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue, and avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Stay home if you are sick or if you are considered at high risk for severe illness.

On February 20th, 2020 the below pictured individual made an arrangement with another individual in regards to making a transaction to purchase an Iphone via Facebook marketplace. Upon meeting eachother in Yorkville, "Mills Fraleigh Travis" asked to hold onto the Iphone to confirm if his sim card would work, but he decided to take the phone and flee on foot.
