Yorkville, NY Police Department

On Friday August 21st, 2020, at 10:50 PM, The Yorkville Police Department was dispatched to the area of Elmwood Ave in the Village of Yorkville for a burglary in progress. It was reported to Police that the homeowners encounter a person inside their residence attempting to steal valuables. The juvenile suspect then fled out the back door and fled the scene on bicycle. Once police arrived on scene, they spoke to the homeowners and was able to obtain a description of the sus...pect. Yorkville Police located a suspect matching the description on Whitesboro Street heading towards the City of Utica. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody. Juvenile Male (16) of Utica was arrested and Charged with the following: PL 140.25 Burglary 2nd PL 205.30 Resisting Arrest PL 240.25 Harassment 2nd PL 195.05 Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd The Juvenile was issued appearance tickets to appear back at Oneida County Family Court at a later date and time. The Yorkville Police Department is looking for the public’s assistance in attempting to locate the vehicle pictured. On July 9th, 2020 at approximately 6:14pm the Yorkville Police responded to a report of an MVA - VS. Bicycle, the pictured truck struck a 9 year old male crossing Oriskany Blvd. and fled the scene without stopping. The Yorkville Police is looking for any witnesses of the incident, or anyone who knows the whereabouts of the truck to please contact the Yorkville Police at (315)-736-8331. Please be advised, if anyone is being asked to repair this vehicle, you could face criminal tampering charges, and we urge you to contact the Yorkville Police Department. We would like to ask the public’s help to join us to getting justice due to the young man suffering a head injury from the accident.

The Yorkville Police Department is investigating several vehicle larcenies that occurred at 2:45 AM 3:15 AM on Saturday May 16th, 2020 around Caroline Street and Tabor Place in the Village of Yorkville. Happened at 167 Whitesboro street in Yorkville on Sunday night at 2336 hour...s. 6 foot dark hair with beard stubble or goatee, grey sweat shirt with lime green letters on side sleeves,blue jeans and tan work boots. On February 20th, 2020 the below pictured individual made an arrangement with another individual in regards to making a transaction to purchase an Iphone via Facebook marketplace. Upon meeting eachother in Yorkville, "Mills Fraleigh Travis" asked to hold onto the Iphone to confirm if his sim card would work, but he decided to take the phone and flee on foot. Update... The dog was taken to Stevens-Swans Humane Society until the owner can be located. The number for Stevens-Swans is 315-738-4357 This friendly guy was found running around in the area West Graham Ave in the Village of Yorkville.
