Congratulations to OUSC's Grace McCullagh for being named to the ENY ODP South Team, a collection of the best players from across Long Island and the Southern District of Eastern NY Region 1. Grace is a member of the Oceanside Flash 2009, coached by Wade Wilkinson and trained by Jason Alvarez. Grace's selection is a result of her hard work, tenacity, and commitment to the game, and the entire OUSC family could not be prouder!

Congratulations to OUSC's Lia DiPreta, who was recently named to the ODP Southern Regional Pool. Lia, goalkeeper for the Oceanside Rebels (2008), was one of only three goalies chosen for the program, which gathers the 24 best players from across Long Island and the Southern District of New York Region 1. This achievement is the result of Lia's hard work and commitment to improvement. A big thanks to Lia's coaches, Carmine Salute and Tom Polito, team trainer Jourdan Perez, and personal trainer Tim Munzing. Congratulations Lia, from the entire Oceanside United Soccer Club family!

This applies to players born 2013 - 2017. All game times remain the same and will still take place at Boardman (School #9).... Munchkins, Pee Wee’s and Intramurals (2013-2017 Birth Year): Moved to Sunday Due to Weather We understand Saturday is supposed to be sunny but due to consecutive days of rain and the potential for flooding, the fields at Boardman Middle School need an opportunity to dry out for the children to train and play on. With that said we are going to move Munchkins, Pee Wee’s and intramurals to Sunday November 1st. All times remain the same, the only difference is you're playing o...n Sunday instead of Saturday. Hempstead Town Supervisor Don Clavin and the Hempstead Town Board called on the Nassau Section VIII committee of the New York State Public High School Athletic ...Association to allow organized high school sports to resume in September. Citing the importance of youth sports in student development, the Town Board urged the Section VIII committee to reverse course from their earlier decision that postpones the fall 2020 high school sports season until 2021. MEMORIAL DAY CAR PARADE

Oceanside United Soccer Club - Registration for 2020-21 has been open for two weeks and the numbers for next year are strong, we appreciate all of you who have already registered and would like to remind everyone else that registration is open at www.ousc.com - it will close in mid June and our plans for next year (number of teams we make, number of trainers we hire, etc.) will be based solely on the number of players registered by that time. We have reduced registration do...wn payment to $1, with no other payment due until September 1, and at that time it's only a portion of the annual registration fee that is due; the other portion is due in February. We understand this is a difficult time for everyone, but we nonetheless must plan for the Fall season, and can only do that if we know how many players to expect. All planning/decisions we make will be based upon our numbers when registration closes, so please register today/in the near future. This allows all of our current families, as well as any newcomers, to register for next year now, so the Club can plan for the season, order uniforms and hire the appropriate number of trainers, and not have to make any payments until October 1, 2020. Good evening everyone As noted earlier today we are in continued discussions with all relevant authorities, and as a result effective Friday, March 13 Oceanside United soccer club is suspending all soccer activities. The Long Island Junior soccer league has suspended all their activities through Mid--April, at which time they will reassess and advise how they are proceeding, with an eye toward starting the season the last weekend of April. The Long Island cup will be cancele...d. Pending that reassessment, all travel teams will stop practicing and training. And may not resume until notified to do so by the club. With regard to the munchkin, pee wee and intramural players, the training that was to start the week of March 30 will remain scheduled to start, but now that will be the week of April 13th. We remain hopeful of starting the intermural season as planned on April 18. Of course all of those dates are subject to the reassessment referenced above and we will be in further touch as that time approaches. The clinic/training programs scheduled for this weekend for our u6-u10 players are canceled.
