It feels like a lifetime ago when I was blissfully traveling the world. It feels like a lifetime ago when I had a salon that was buzzing with life and energy. It feels like a lifetime ago when I was dancing my way through beautiful weekends. Today life feels more cloudy. Life feels more heavy. But the thing is, life wasn’t different before. When I had pneumonia, the scans gave me clarity, but the truth is I had the inflammation for a bit prior to the scans. My cough and pain ...alerted me to go check. Same is true with the global climate we find ourselves in today. The universe and world is shouting at us to take a closer look, to scan and to introspect. We need to see what is the root of our issues. What is the root of our pain. What is the root of our discomfort. But the infection has been brewing in our world for too long. Why are we comfortable with fear. Why are we comfortable with hate. We are all part of the same organism. We are all one. We all want to be cared for. We all want to be heard. We all want to be seen. We are much more similar than we are different. I vow that from today and onward I will be mindful in the way I interact with every life I come into contact with. I will look each individual in the eye. I will connect with love from the depth of my heart. The souls I love, and the souls I may not love yet. I will tap into my self fueled love to impact the souls I meet for the betterment of humanity. Who is with me? #LeadByExample #LoveWins #JewishAndProud #ZeldaHair See more

The way to love is to have clarity in the mind, purity in the heart and sincerity in our actions. Shabbat shalom! #LeadByExample photo from @rabbitailor

As a Jewish woman I stand in support of the black community. I condemn racism. I support justice. I will fight for equality. And I will demand unity. Let’s end this hatred with love. Fellow Jews, remember that the ncreasing Anti Semitic acts and hate crimes does NOT qualify or justify for us to stay silent. Kal V’Chomer, It should propel us to support others that are also oppressed that much more. Live by example. Don’t do on to others what you wouldn’t want done to you. #JewishAndProud #IAmAntiRacist #BlackOutTuesday

I used to be a racist. I live in a very tiny community primarily comprised of religious Jews like myself and blacks. I used to be a racist. The only exposure I had to black people was the ones that would say nasty things to me on my way to school. And so, I used to be a racist. The only interactions I had with black people were the ones where I would have to defend myself and/or run away from. So I used to be a racist. And I defended my stance because of the limited exposure ...I had. So I used to be a racist. I had limiting beliefs. And that made me a racist. And the hate and discomfort I carried in my heart would spread. I was a racist. Until one day, I was done with hate. And although I used to be a racist, I committed myself to learning, becoming aware, growing and spreading love. I used to be a racist. Not because of anything I did. But because of the bias I carried in my heart. I used to be a racist. But when I learned, I saw that specific cases does not equate to a whole picture. I used to be a racist. But I discovered that just because hate crimes have escalated against my Jewish community, it does not mean that racism is a defensible concept. I used to be a racist. But I realized two wrongs doesn’t make it right. It just highlights two wrongs. I used to be a racist. But now I know that it’s not enough to simply not be a racist. I used to be a racist. And that’s why now it’s imperative for me to be ANTI RACIST. Hate is hate. Universally. Ignorance is ignorance. Universally. I was not aware how deep my racism went. The more I learn, the more I become aware. Most people do not want to hate. We are just ignorant. Actively pursuing love and education is the ONLY solution to eradicating ignorance and hate. Spread awareness. Spread love. Spread education. Racism is poison and we need to be vocal. #iamantiracist #georgefloyd #istandagainstracism #educate See more
