Two years ago, I attended the inaugural VOGUE100 breakfast with Anna Wintour, and 20 others, hosted in her office. Today, a fancy breakfast for me is delivery from Starbucks - how things have changed! But that one breakfast led to so many wonderful friendships, that it continues to be an incredible memory. From Julia Haart, the rockstar CEO of Elite World, who married in @amanzoe in Greece decked out in my jewels, to Ashley Bernon, Boston’s ultimate boss-lady realtor, who was... engaged at @583parkavenue in my jewels (watch out for our Modern Luxury feature, sharing next week!), Annastasia Sealbolm, the CEO of Quintessentially, who was kind enough to introduce me to her YPO cohort, and of course my dear friend Maritza Spitler who is the ideal person to have shared this experience with. As a relatively new designer, I’ll never forget that invite, but in hindsight, the people I met have made that morning the start of so many more beautiful memories. In honor of our HBS case being taught to the YPO this week, I’m excited to share a new piece created for my friend and YPO member @annastasia.s. It’s proof that jewelry need not be elaborate to be meaningful. The ultra minimalist pendant floats on the neck with a hint of yellow gold to add a spark. My resolution for 2020 was to push my own boundaries of design...to remain true to my core aesthetic of timeless and classic, but to attempt forms and shapes that were more modern and minimalist while always meaningful. These earrings, crafted to celebrate a milestone anniversary, are a perfect representation of my goal. The overall design is still classic and timeless, though the frame of ultra-fine black diamonds (inspired by their time together @dukeuniversity) add a uniqu...e edge. But when worn, they transform into a magically minimal design, with the black diamonds fading into her hair, and the extraordinary white diamonds appearing as ball of fire mysteriously dancing alone in the air. Introducing The Lucky Ring! Timeless and classic from every angle, but look closely, and their story unfolds... thirteen diamonds are set on each side of the band, representing the year they first met. The first twelve stones are white diamonds, and the last is a deep blue sapphire celebrating a meaningful vacation they shared together. The prongs are gently inspired by the lotus flowerthe flower of Vietnamto honor her heritage. Another special trip to @huntermountain is celebrated through a carving on the side profile. We’re so excited to begin sharing more pieces from 2020! Our first ring features an emerald cut diamond selected for the perfection of its cut, with significant tapered baguettes on each shoulder. The prongs are inspired by a special piece of Murano Glass, celebrating a special trip they shared in Venice. Inside the band, gemstones and carvings celebrate milestones in their relationship.
