New changes to the New York medical marijuana laws have been released. Effective immediately, nurse practitioners who complete the training course will now be allowed to certify patients for use of medical marijuana. Existing licensed producers may buy and sell product to and from other licensed producers. New methods of administration are being considered by the DOH as well as additional conditions including "chronic pain". These changes will take place after a mandator...y 6 month waiting period. Some see this as the next best thing to recreational marijuana since pain cannot be legitimately diagnosed while others consider it a step toward helping those with chronic pain who don't want to rely on dangerous prescription opiates. Still no movement in any patient home grow exemption. Many believe it is because the tax revenue of the mass produced (licensed) medicine is the only reason for its legalization in New York. A plea to all who follow this site: Please write a letter to every state, county and local representative requesting the legalization of home growing for qualifying patients. If this program is truly "in the best interest" of those who suffer, it is nothing short of irresponsible to bar them from producing the safest and often most effective medicine at virtually no cost. With the nations new health care laws taking effect, patients with serious illnesses and injuries are already experiencing substantial financial hardship from either their inability to work and provide for themselves or from the massive expense of the modern medical system. Does it really make sense to treat this medicine as though it were alcohol or cigarettes? Driving the price of "legal" marijuana to sometimes more than twice the price it fetches on the illicit market ? Please show your support by making this request and asking these questions to those whose job it is to represent the best interest of "we the people" instead of "him the tax man". I know it's been a long time since we've posted anything. That's because we've been busy working with our partner company to create the world's first and most versatile fully automated growing appliance. Our final prototype is in beta testing right now and if all goes will it will make its official debut at the 2017 Cannabis World conference at the Jacob Javitz center in New York city. A special thanks to all who attended our March 3rd patient education seminar. The class went very well and we were excited to see a full room of curious and enthusiastic people. It was a bit of information overload that will take a little while and perhaps a bit of practical experience to fully absorb but all in all we are proud of the result and have since received a steady stream of positive accolades and interest in our more advanced courses.
