The Baumann 10.02.2021

We’re excited to announce our monthly Artsbox project for 2021! Subscribe here: https://www.baumannartsbox.com/products/monthly-artsbox Each month, we’ll be biking around NYC delivering boxes filled with works by curators of The Baumann. This is a fundraiser for our upcoming move, and a celebration of the many friends and curators who we miss dearly!... Not in NYC? No problem. We can ship a box to you! The January and February editions will feature work by @lavidaterrible @olivia_rodrigues @damonsmithmusic @christophersearsart @kayla_martine @justlunning @chandlerjdean @queenvictoriam @horses.small @corinnesheareranddancers @aeonensemble @miriamelhajli and more! Works will have both physical and digital components. All will be contained in the box! We would be honored to send you some art, and to have your support. Blessings from The Bau #nycartist #nycart #nycmusic #nycdancers #nycfilm #nycphotography #nyctheatre #nycpoet #nyccomedy #brooklynart #tarotcommunity #artsandcrafts #artsbox #fundraise See more

A night dedicated to celebrating the unique work that is born out of the limitations of tiny spaces. Come celebrate tiny (but obviously mighty) dance works with us! Curated by Charly Santagado of Mignolo Dance.

We r moving! A year ago we decided that we would relocate The Baumann at the end of our current lease. 41 Varick has been a wonderful hub for 3 years, and we feel the next step is to reopen in a location where we can operate 7 days per week and not be limited by noise. We will remain in BK, not too far from where we currently are. The duration of COVID-19 will of course inform when we will reopen. As NYC remains in Phase 2, our (live event) industry is poised to reopen in ...NYC Phase 4. We will seek to time our relocation with this final phase, and begin events as soon as it is safe to do so. Should we need to host event(s) at remote venues for any period of time, we are prepared. We are forming a collaboration with a residency at 70 Lefferts Pl. among others to ensure that our events take place when the time comes. We will continue to make virtual collaborations and carry on activist work. We hope you are well and we miss you. Thank you for bringing energy to this place. Love from The Baumann team: @mo_purp @queenvictoriam @motivationbyz , Owen, FB. #bushwickart See more

This week's episode of #AWFW is all about SOUND. Sound of theatre composition, jazz composition, and the disappearance of live sound into the immortality of lockdown. Stoked to have David Kelepha Samba and Adam O'Farrill join us. We f** with them hard. https://podcasts.apple.com//adam-ofarrill-an/id1512585888
