CEO Foster Grandparent Program

This year our program chose to celebrate our volunteers with a Stay at Gnome for the Holidays theme! Volunteers were gifted with a fleece scarf/headband set with new AmeriCorps Seniors branding, a gnome to watch over them, and a brunch box, along with some other goodies that they will find to come in handy! Even though we celebrated differently this year, we believe it was one of our best years to show our appreciation and gratitude to the volunteers!

We were able to celebrate with some of our many loved volunteers, our Senior Admin Team, and Foster Grandparent team in a socially distant Zoom Holiday Gathering before the holiday break. We played a Holiday Trivia game and had a great time laughing at CEO President Katherine Maciol’s jokes that everyone looks forward to! Hope you all had a great holiday and are refreshed and ready for a great 2021!

It’s so important to remember to be kind for you never know who you may meet or what role you will play in someone’s life. We want to share this Recognition video from a few years ago about the connection made between a station staff member and one of our long-standing volunteers, Monya, who passed away recently.
