Big thanks to all volunteers including several members of the Columbia County Mountain Bike Alliance for their efforts creating trails Sunday, Dec. 6th, for the Town of Chatham's Crellin Park and PS21: Performance Spaces for the 21st Century. Trails are being created as part of a larger shared multi-use trail system between Crellin and PS21- connected to the Village of Chatham by sidewalk! Sunday's task to begin descending down PS21's large hill toward the canopied woodland bordering the Stony Kill Creek produced over 200 yards of trail!

A double ribbon day for Chatham Two ribbon cuttings were held at Crellin Park in Chatham Saturday, October 31one to mark the official opening of the new Crelli...n Park Pavilion and one for the upgrades to the Chatham Skate Park. Town Supervisor Donal Collins (pictured l in group photo) made introductory comments at the pavilion ribbon cutting, but gave credit to his predecessor, Maria Lull (second from l) under whose administration the pavilion was planned and funded. Town Councilman Kevin Weldon (center), who is co-chair of the town Parks and Recreation Department, cut the ribbon. The Chatham Skate Park completed its first phase a decade ago. Over the summer, the skateboard park had several modifications, including new features, more surface area and lighting. TOWN OF CHATHAM RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY AT CRELLIN'S SKATE PARK Members of the Crellin Park Foundation cut the ribbon on October 31, 2020 in celebration of newly added features to the Crellin's Skate Park with a grant made possible by the foundation.

Big thanks to Mrs. Rossi, her Chatham High School students and members of the Town of Chatham's Recreation Committee for volunteering their time each Wednesday this fall to help prepare the Chatham Children's Garden for 2021. Volunteers have been weeding beds, creating compost and providing general clean-up which will help speed up efforts next spring in preparing for our youth programing. Thanks!

ATTENTION MINI-MITES PRE-K/K - Morris Rec. Soccer Upon receiving feedback surrounding our decision to eliminate the Mini-Mite division this season, it has become clear that there is a real community need for an offering at this age level. We would like to do our best to fill that need. The Morris will seek approval for this division at Thursday’s Town of Chatham Town Board meeting. Upon receiving approval, we will immediately open registration (10/1-10/7) and begin play... on Saturday, 10/10. Because the Mini Mite division will be starting a week late, we will be incorporating a make-up session during a week-day evening in coming weeks. PLEASE SHARE!
