Quezada, the Superintendent is extremely pleased to notify you that our District employees have been given the opportunity to participate in a pilot COVID-19 vaccination program for Yonkers staff. Dr. Quezada collaborated with George Latimer, Westchester County Executive and Ken Jenkins, Deputy County Executive, to offer 550 vaccinations specifically for our employees. We appreciate the efforts and support the District continues to receive from the County Executive and the Health Department throughout this pandemic. To be able to continue programs such as this dedicated to our employees, we encourage to take advantage this incredible opportunity. To qualify for the vaccination, you must be an ACTIVE Yonkers employee and at your appointment, you MUST show your Yonkers Public Schools identification. Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis. Vaccinations will be offered as follows: The location of the vaccination clinic is the gym at Westchester Community College (WCC). Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 10 from 10:00AM 5:45PM there are 550 appointments. Staff members who have responsibilities with students and professional development cannot make an appointment from 10:00AM 2:00PM on Wednesday; however, psychologists, social workers, counselors, clerks, custodians and other can make an appointment between those time. The district will release these employees. To assist Yonkers Public Schools educators and staff with childcare needs for children ages 5 through 12, Healthy Kids is partnering with the Hudson River Museum. Information about the programs is available by calling Healthy Kids program director Adele Dowling at 914-760-4916. Begins Wednesday, September 16 Hudson River Museum (50 children) 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM on school days Registration is on a first come, first serve basis...
