Daylight savings time is a good time to test your smoke and CO alarms. If you have an older model detector please install fresh batteries. Working detectors save lives.

Today marks a very bittersweet day for us here at Ellicott Creek. Today is the last day Chief Osika remains in office. Chief Osika has done so much in his 6 years as Chief, 9 years as an Assistant Chief on top of all of the years he has served as a line officer. Chief Osika has accomplished so much during his time, we have opened our second station on Sweet Home Road, purchased two new Rosenbauer engines, received multiple grants for equipment such as helmets and SCBA’s. He h...as played a vital role throughout this pandemic and has always put his 110% into this company. We appreciate the time you have put in the make this company better than ever before! You have done a great job leading this department and shaping up the officers and newly elected chiefs to continue on! Even though his time has ended as a Chief, Joe will still be an active firefighter and continue to take calls. Chief, we appreciate all that you have done and it has never gone unnoticed. You have touched many lives throughout the years and we look forward to riding on the firetrucks with you now! Congratulations on a job well done! See more

Over the last two months the fire company has gained 6 new members, 3 of those coming from another fire department! Our officers have been taking the time to meet with the large group to start introducing them to basic firefighting skills! Tonight officers went over our hose loads and how to deploy them. As you can see in the photos below it is always important to ensure the hoses are not kinked and flaked out properly. Welcome to the company guys, we are thrilled to have yo...u!
