Hi Everyone ! Jesse here. My mom does not use FB but the shelter ladies said they would post me and my status. My previous owner abandoned me on the side of the road. I been with my new mom for several months and she sure takes good care of me. She orders special food and toys for me each month from Chewy too ! I love my new home. Thank you for giving me a chance at the good life.

Hero Dog needs Home for Christmas Meet Anastasia, this beautiful girl ended up at the shelter after she saved her family from a house fire. This was the sec...ond time in her life she was in a house fire. We were hoping she would be able to go back to her family once they had somewhere to live but unfortunately they cannot have her where they are living. Anastasia is 10 years old, she is extremely lovable and a loyal family pet. Luckily she was not injured in the fire but she did have to have an extensive surgery for mammary tumors. Her first surgery was 10 days ago and she is healing really well, the great news is that all tumors removed so far were benign. In 4-6 weeks Anastasia will need to have another small tumor removed and be spayed. We would love for her to find a home and then she can some back the shelter to have her next surgery. (This is all included in adoption fee). We have tried to introduce Anastasia to other dogs and cats but she would like to be the only pet. This special girl has so much love to give, please help us find her a forever home. Anastasia will be spayed, current on vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $120. Trooper has a meet and greet today.

Meet Trooper. A 3 year old Beagle mix, about 32 pounds, neutered, and UTD on shots. He is housebroken, good with kids and all adults. No issues with other dogs , but a home with no cats might be best. It would depend upon the cat a family has. He does need to gain some weight , so we have him on puppy chow. Trooper does have a sad tail to tell, and just wants to be with people. He needs some training, but he is a smart one, so that won’t take long. Happy Thanksgiving from Harriet. We still have her with us at the shelter as we needed sometime to see how her meds were working and decide on the type of home that would suit her best. She is very sensitive to perfumes and cleaning products, cool outdoor air and a room that is very warm. We now keep the dog room temp around 65 and that seems to suit her just fine. Her COPD cough is much better !! If she runs around too much she will cough but nothing like it was when she first came to us. Harriet is spending Thanksgiving with one of our amazing senior dog foster families. Rebecca and Kate Hocking. . Friday we will begin reviewing applications from those that have asked to adopt. Today we are Thankful to all that gave so generously to Harriet.

Happy Saturday morning from the shelter ! Harriet is snoring away this morning. She takes all of her pills like a Trooper with pill pockets. Has a great appetite and eats well. Her little pig tail was wagging away when I came in. Pleased with her progress. She is not quite ready to leave us yet and we have received a great application for adoption of her. She has also picked out a few toys she likes. She sure is a sweet one.

Meet Willow. She is a lab/shepherd mix. 1 1/2 years old. Utd on shots and gets spayed next Tuesday. She loves kids, and all people. She is ok with cats. If a family currently has a dog she would have to be tested. No issue at the vets with other dogs , but sometimes they do pick their friends, and may not like some dogs. We took in this 14 year old pug yesterday from the pound. She is going to need a lot of medical. She has COPD, a bad cough and all her teeth are bad. She had an eye removed in years past and does not hear or see well, but she is the sweetest dog. November is Senior dog month, so with your help we will do whatever is needed to get her needs taken care of. We received many messages about her last night, but she will need a special family to care for her in her last years. Her name is Harriet. She is still at our Veterinarian.
