Warmest congratulations to Global Studies alumna Julie DeGuardi '17, who was just awarded a Fulbright teaching fellowship! Julie did an excellent Honors SYE project in Global Studies exploring the impact of NAFTA on migrant farm workers in the North Country. She also shared her work with the public through the Weave News platform. We're so proud of you, Julie! St. Lawrence has 10 Fulbright Student Grant recipients since 1986. Did you know that 3 of the 10 were Global Studies majors? Julie is following in the footsteps of Alexander Tedeschi and Allison Paludi.

GS major Torri Lonergan just published a new online exhibit as part of the People's History Archive project headquartered at SLU. It's based on materials she gathered during her semester in Costa Rica, when she also reported for the "Weaving the Streets" blog over at Weave News (see http://www.weavenews.org/stories/tag/Torri+Lonergan). Check out Torri's work!
