Spring is finally upon us and we're thrilled to have Carole Henry from Cornell Cooperative Extension to give us some ideas about container gardening. Registration is required for this Zoom event. You'll be able to dress up your planters, tree beds, and gardens just in time for our re-imagined 2021 House & Garden Tour: Stoop Stroll edition. The attendance caps at 100 guests so make sure to sign up before the slots run out. Stay tuned for more details on the House & Garden Tour. We've been working with our friends Center Square Association and Historic Albany Foundation to keep this great tradition alive. Happy Gardening! https://cornell.zoom.us//tJUpdu-ppz4iEtwJOLXLhgyJV_axdwZDf

It is sometimes very easy to criticize the task of snow removal in the City of Albany, especially after a large snowfall. It’s a complex system that requires a ton of coordination from city agencies and city residents in order to work properly. The City of Albany Department of General Services, Albany Police, and Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan’s team all work in conjunction to execute this plan. Is it perfect? Of course not but we only need to compare this to some of our neighboring cities to understand how things can be much worse.
