OK peeps, we are finally going to have a legitimate FPV Experience on Long Island SOON! I know a lot of you have been waiting for a legitimate go to spot to get your FPV on, where there will be other FPV'ers, along with a schedule of events for each weekend. I am proud to report I have secured an awesome, huge outdoor location in Calverton, NY, with town approval, that is totally legit, safe & legal, and has onsite facility with bathrooms, vending machines, plenty of parking,... (food concessions in Summer) etc. In order to make this happen, I would like help from the Long Island & NY FPV community. We are looking for feedback from Experienced pilots to ensure we do this right, legally, safely, fun for all, thus assuring us a FPV location & venue for years to come, and for serious Pilots to demonstrate their abilities to Long Island and FPV world. I would like to personally extend an invitation to "EXPERIENCED" FPV Pilots whom would like to participate & take part in our pre-grand opening/soft launch "sessions", being held on Sunday April 15th (12-4pm), and on Sunday April 29th (12-4pm). [first 2.5 hours will be sessions, then remaining 1.5 hours of free fly] Please note that during these two (2) separate "sessions", we will be requiring your feedback, opinion & participation for how best to roll out operational items such as, course layout &/or free fly area, course equipment required, staging/charging areas, racing rules & regs, etc (anything else?) - Depending on participation, certain attendees will receive discount or benefits on future admission - Must pre-register and get code to attend EACH event. - $5 Location Fee, use of facilities, grounds, electric, bathrooms, parking, etc If you plan to just come & fly and not participate, do not bother. You will either be told to leave grounds, or placed on banned pilot list, or both. * If anybody would like to step up and really become an integral part, and take full advantage of what the future holds, we are looking for one or two "session" Leads, and can explore all future opportunities.
