Good morning and God Bless. I have again borrowed a post from Pastor Ernie Green at St Paul’s NT . We hear it over and over that we are living in "scary times." What I'm starting to find the scariest is not knowing what is actually happening, what is the actual truth about the present pandemic? There are so many conflicting reports that I'm starting to grow concerned. All that I am hearing right now are Doctors in disagreement with other Doctors. Scientists arguing with oth...er scientists, and of course we will always have government officials at odds with each other. Who is right and who is wrong? In all of my life I have never been one to subscribe to the idea of conspiracy theories, but I'm growing worried. What is correct, what is true, what can we believe? All of this uncertainty leads me to one answer; the truth begins and the truth ends with Jesus. In Him alone can I place all of my trust. In Christ alone can any of us place our faith, and hope, and trust. Pray for peace today, peace of mind, peace of spirit, and peace in the world. Pray for each other, and pray for the truth to be revealed to the world, a world that needs truth more than anything right now. We may not be able to all be together today , but with Gods great blessings we are all here to enjoy the Day that Jesus rose from the dead to forgive us all our sins and lead us to a great day when we are all together with him in heaven. HE HAS Risen! He has risen indeed!!! From all here at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Happy Easter... Tom H His Promise has been kept, Jesus has Risen, He has Risen indeed! Blessings abound for all of us on this Easter morning. Because Jesus lives, we will live also, because He is the Resurrection and the Life. He promised He would return in three days and He did. In the words of the Apostle John from his Revelation, "Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. Jesus has Risen, and Jesus is returning, we are given that blessed promise. Brothers and sisters, nothing else in life is as important than a relationship with Jesus that brings His promises to life, because they bring us to life, and life eternal and everlasting. Make this the day that we all say, "He died for me, then rose for me, let me live for Him." Amen. Jesus is alive, and our Easter song is "He's Alive," sung by Dolly Parton, May the Joy of the Resurrection live in you this day and all days. Amen.

No matter how bad any of our days are today, all of our troubles combined will not be as horrific as the day that Jesus suffered on the very first Good Friday. The betrayal, beatings, whipping, mocking, spitting, crowning with thorns, denial and Crucifixion was more than we can ever imagine. The worst part came on the Cross... when Jesus was removed from the presence of His Father, so that he could bear the full weight of all the sins of humanity, and He did it all for you, and for me, and for every sinner. I can't stress this enough, What a Friend we have in Jesus. He died for sins that we committed, yet He was sin free. John recorded these words of Jesus in the fifteenth chapter of His Gospel, "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." And then Jesus went out and did just that, He lay down His life for us, for all of us. Take some time to think about this great sacrifice today, and what it meant and still means to the whole world. A prayer of thanksgiving would be most appropriate today, and every day. And if you're not familiar with the whole story, then please contact me or someone else who can explain it to you. It's the greatest story ever told. The road that Jesus walked carrying His own Cross to Calvary was called the Via Dolorosa, or the Way of Suffering.
