"North Hollywood is a feature-length coming-of-age film about a kid pursuing his dream of becoming a pro skater against the wishes of his father, and at risk of those closest to him. Although the budget was small, we wanted the film to feel as GRAND as possible, presenting the world with as much magnitude and vibrancy as our main characters viewed it. The T Series had the balance we were looking for between an impressionistic quality, while still maintaining a level of sharpn...ess and polish to the image. We also utilized the T Series 42-425mm to film most of the skate sequences. The goal was to honor the filming approach to skate videos - typically captured with Handycam zooms. I want to give a special shoutout to 1st AC extraordinaire Anthony Goodman for somehow keeping those sequences sharp!"
