No matter what goals you’ve set for yourself this year, remember that long-term and sustainable improvements come from behavior change! This take time and discipline! ... So start small! Instead of crushing yourself at the gym for the next 20 days straight and burning yourself out, be consistent with 3 days per week. Instead of completely cutting out soda, have one per day instead of 4. With consistency and gradual progression, the changes will come! As we’re moving into the new year, keep this in mind! So many people set fitness goals to start the new year and go from 0-100 way too quickly! More isn’t necessarily better. More weight, more reps, more time in the gym. Don’t get me wrong, none of those things are bad...when appropriately progressed for your individual goals and needs!... Keep in mind that we do offer fitness/performance sessions! Let us know if there is any way we can help you get on track to your 2021 goals!

If you’ve ever had pain, you’ve likely tried treatments local to that area. Heat, ice, massage, specific exercises or stretches. Maybe they make you feel good temporarily, but the pain always seems to come back! Well, maybe that area only hurts because another part of the body isn’t operating at 100%. Maybe your back hurts because your leg isn’t doing enough work. Maybe your knee is bothering you because your foot can’t move well. If you’ve been frustrated by a nagging pain.../injury that won’t seem to go away, we want to help! BIG NEWS! We are excited to welcome Dr. Sean to the team! Dr. Sean joins us after more than 3 years as a traveling PT, which allowed him to work and learn alongside practitioners across the country with various treatment styles. After taking Integrated Kinetic Neurology’s Approach course , Dr. Sean was eager to continue learning and implementing cutting-edge neuroscience techniques with more traditional approaches in the fields of orthopedics and ...sports performance to maximize results. grew out of Dr. Mike's vision of creating the premier physical therapy clinic in Rochester, NY that would go against the traditional high volume setting and become a patient-centered clinic that provides 1-on-1 care for the active population in the area. Dr. Mike started his career, with a focus in sports and orthopedics, in Rochester after graduating from Nazareth College in 2013 He quickly started to expand upon his education with acceptance an...d completion of the University of Rochester’s residency program in Sports PT, earning the title of Board Certified Specialist in Sports PT. During the following few months, he began to study and implement neuroscience in combination with traditional sports and orthopedic treatments. He attended Integrated Kinetic Neurology’s (IKN) Approach course to further expand his knowledge in this field. IKN’s teaching led him to believe that by combining the most cutting edge techniques in the fields of neuroscience and orthopedics, there could be immediate and long-lasting effects in decreasing pain, along with improving performance, function and quality of life Dr. Mike lives in Rochester, NY with his daughter Layla , wife Michele , black Labrador Retriever Ruger , and two cats, Moo and Frank He is an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, hiking, biking and skiing DM, email, or call us with questions about our approach or to book a session with Dr. Mike today!

WOW is honestly all that I can say. The out pouring of support I have received from local businesses for our veteran hunt on Wednesday November 11th has been no...thing short of amazing. Situations like these show just how much good is still out there. I am absolutely overwhelmed with emotions from the generosity from everyone. I want to thank Mike Stewart owner of ROC Physical Therapy for donating $5 for every retrieved bird we take on our hunt to the wounded warrior foundation! I want to thank Josh Hawkins and The Firing Pin, LLC for donating an entire CASE of ammo for our hunt! I want to thank Jordan Coffta with Just Hunt Club for donating their time to professionally video and photograph the hunt! I want to thank Jeff Alloco for donating hunting items to give away on our hunt to some of the veterans! I want to thank John Spyropoulos and Settlers Restaurant for providing our lunch at a substantially discounted rate after our hunt! I am absolutely amazed at the support we have received through all of this. Please like and share to show some support for all these wonderful folks!

Too good not to share this post. Posted by @samhodous_physio #repost @performancecareclinics Shoutout to @dr.andychen for posting this first!... . Unfortunately this is the cookie cutter approach that many people experience at many PT clinics. . Everyone gets the same thing, without any respect for the individuality of the person in front of them. You might get passed from your PT to a tech or exercise specialist. You might see a different PT every time. This is NOT how you produce long term results. . We do things different at ROC PT. Contact or DM us to learn more! . #physicaltherapy #rehab #pain #injury #ikn #physiotherapy #sportsperformance #strengthtraining #rochester #rochesterny #roc #PT #northwintonvillage
