Schuyler County Firefighters Association regular meeting is this Thursday the 14th in Burdett at 7:30. Fire police meeting at 7:00. 2016 dues are due $2 each

It is with great sadness to share with you the passing of retired Seneca County Fire Coordinator Charlie McCann. Calling hours will be on Thursday, August 27th from 2pm to 6pm at the Geneva Middle School. Please dress in fire department uniform or appropriate attire. ... The funeral will be on Friday, August 28th at 10am at the Geneva Middle School. Burial will be private. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers or sympathy cards, those who wish to do so can make a donation to the family of Charlie McCann or to the National Fallen Firefighters at firehero.org.

Funeral arrangements for Vernon McLean Sr are being arranged by Carpenters Funeral Home. Viewing hours will be held at Beaver Dams Volunteer Fire Department from 2-5 pm on Sunday, August 2nd. A Firefighter's Service will be held at 5 pm all are welcome to attend.

Tonight we lost one of our own. Vernon McLean Sr passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Rest in peace Vern. We love you. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Thank you Bill Palmer, Ovid Fire Chief, for his presentation regarding the Ovid block fire. Amazing with over 200 firefighters on scene and only 1 injury!! Great job to all
