St.George Orthodox Church Of Westchester 20.04.2022

As part of our yearly Sunday school trip, St. George Orthodox Church of Portchester visited the Sight and Sound Millennium Theatre on August 19th, 2010. Parents and grandparents also joined the children in making the trip a memorable event. The bus drive to Lancaster, Pennsylvania was filled with laughter, talks and games. Once reaching the destination we were quickly swept away to a wonderful luncheon at the Hershey Farm Restaurant. After the luncheon the group reached... the Sight and Sound Millennium Theatre located just above the restaurant on a beautiful hill. At the theater the group was immersed into a wonderful new production titled ‘Joseph’. It was a great sight to see the epic story unfold right in front of us. With lavish staging, colorful characters, vibrant music and animals one can feel as if we are in the past experiencing the event as it unfolds in front of us, beside us and even above us. The show aimed to teach us that in life we have to forgive one another as Joseph did. After the production of Joseph the group went onto see another production titled ‘Psalms of David.’ This production helped unfold the story of David from his childhood to his adulthood. Sight & Sound used vibrant music, dancing and storytelling to bring the Psalms into life. The production aims to teach us that God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." - 1 Samuel 16:7
