Statement of the Roman Union Ursuline Sisters of the United States The Roman Union Ursuline Sisters of the United States, called to be artisans of peace, unite in prayer for all the people of our nation. We watched with horror at the lawless events unfolding in our nation’s Capitol on Wednesday and we are deeply concerned for the future of our democracy. Today we add our voice to that of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious and many others in pledging to commit our e...nergy to helping to build a more perfect union. We will work with others to proclaim the Gospel message of nonviolence, of hope and of peace during this time of great pain and division. We call on all Americans to join with us to encourage our newly elected leadership to lead the way to a more united country. https://osueast.org/statement-of-the-roman-union-ursuline-/ See more

Our community at St. Teresa's celebrated the end of the Season of Creation and the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi yesterday, October 4th, with song, prayers and a planting. Outside the Iselin house an Ilex bush and lovely mums were planted and will be a symbol for our commitment to care for our common home and God's beautiful creation. Share with us any pictures of fall plantings you may have done around your home. How many of our Sisters can you recognize in the photos? Post who you see here!
We all need to pay attention to the environment and this video speaks to how we can individually do our part. https://youtu.be/OeqfSNiVdsg

Today we held prayer services in honor of International Day of Peace, a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and ...peoples, established by the United Nations General Assembly. The Ursuline School joins those around the globe as we remember that "never has it been more clear that we are not each other’s enemies, as we fight a common enemy, COVID-19, a tireless virus that threatens our health, security and very way of life. COVID-19 has thrown our world into turmoil and forcibly reminded us that what happens in one part of the planet can impact people everywhere." We are grateful to Rabbi Jessica Fisher from our neighbor, Beth El Synagogue Center and Sr. Pat Schifini and Sr. Brenda Buckley, members of the Ursuline Sisters of the Eastern Province, USA Provincial Council for joining us and participating in one of our prayer services this morning. #PeaceDay #UrsulinePride #UN75
When you think you can’t, turn to Jesus, who will help carry the burden and give you strength to continue.
May God bless all who perished and those who loved them. We will never forget.
A little humor for your Sunday...
