Showing can change your life for the better! If you have the opportunity to show cows then help others to have the same amazing opportunity to learn how to show! http://weekinfarms.blogspot.com//showing-cows-is-passion.h
Cornell University Dairy Science Club has been working hard to get ready for the 2015 National Holstein Harvest Sale this Saturday! Friday night at 5:30pm there will be an interactive educational session where you can meet where your milk comes from, and Saturday morning at 10:00am there will be a fitting and showmanship workshop for those interested! The sale will follow at 12:00pm! Come and support Cornell Dairy Science Club and see the hard-work the students have done! You can also watch the sale and bid online if you cannot attend the sale! https://www.facebook.com/events/516410541868092/
Jenny has had fun handing out ribbons for the National Guernsey Heifer Show at the World Dairy Expo! We are very pleased that Wee Kin Farm Yogi Susan, owned by Donna Whalen bred by Betsey McKenna, placed first in the Fall Yearling Class and was pulled out for Junior Champion! Congratulations to all of the exhibitors, and good luck tomorrow for the Cow show!
Jenny had a wonderful time representing the Guernsey Breed as the National Guernsey Queen this past weekend in Harrisburg Pennsylvania at that All American Show! Congratulations to all those that showed, and good luck at the upcoming national shows!
The milk test day results have returned, and We are proud to announce that Wee Kin Farm Altanic Magnolia is producing One Hundred Pounds of milk! This is her first lactation (meaning the first time she has calved and is producing milk)
