October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month. While the Speaking Grief initiative explores many types of grief experiences, we’ll be sharing some stories around this particular type of loss throughout the month. Michelle Winship’s granddaughter, Nova, was stillborn in 2015. I sat there and thought, ‘I’m sitting in a rocking chair rocking a baby that didn’t really need to be rocked.’... To hear more from Michelle and others who have experienced infant and pregnancy loss (as well as other types of loss), visit: https://speakinggrief.org/stories-of-grief #grief #loss #griefsupport #griefandloss #griefjourney #griefquotes #griefrecovery #griefawareness #wpsugrief #nylfoundation #childloss #infantloss #infantlosssupport#infantlossawareness #infantlossawarenessmonth #grieving #mentalhealth #pregnancyloss #griefsucks #siblingloss Western New York Perinatal Bereavement Network (WNYPBN)@Miscarriage, stillborn and child loss Sands, the stillbirth & neonatal death charity Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support, Inc.Bears Of Hope Pregnancy & Infant Loss SupportPregnancy and Infant Loss Australia https://www.facebook.com/371968176852981/posts/667188970664232/

Yesterday was our event in lieu of the Walk to Remember. I know that many in our circles don’t get why we intentionally make ourselves sad. We do it because spending a portion of the day focused specifically on our lost babies is healing. Sadness is not a crime, nor does it need to be avoided at all costs. Sometimes it is best to let yourself BE SAD. Happiness means so much more when you have had the sadness behind it. #pailawareness2020 #wnypbn
